What is this resource?
A template for creating a Chart of Accounts (often abbreviated CoA) for a nonprofit offering fiscal sponsorship to Model A-type projects, Model C-type projects, or both. It includes lots of commonly-used income & expense categories you can modify to suit your organization’s unique needs. It also includes some common balance sheet accounts with explanations of what they are used for.
A nonprofit’s CoA has to serve many different needs, especially if you offer fiscal sponsorship! This template is structured to flexibly meet those needs while still being intuitive and easy to read.
